FOLSOM, Calif. — Sacramento State concluded its three-day, five-team tournament with a 5-0 loss to Washington on Sunday morning under overcast skies at Livermore Community Park.

This morning's contest was the final matchup of the tournament, which saw seven matches played over three days, and featured 15th-ranked New Mexico (3-0), Washington (2-1), CSU Bakersfield (1-1), San Jose State (1-1) and Sacramento State (0-4). The Lobos were the lone team to go undefeated at the tournament, as they beat Sacramento State, Washington and San Jose State. For scores of each match, click here.

Sacramento State (1-16) is in the midst of a seven-match homestead to close the regular season before competing at the Big West Conference Tournament on April 29-30 in Long Beach. The Hornets conclude the regular season next week at home against Boise State on Friday, and both Cal Poly and Pacific on Saturday.

Washington, which is receiving votes in the DiG Beach Volleyball top 25 poll, was playing for the first time all season this week and improved to 2-1 with the victory.

The Hornets were able to force three sets in two of their doubles matches, including a loss at No. 3 by Lexie Skalbeck and Lana Brown by a 21-10, 15-21, 17-15 score. At No. 4, Hannah Meadows and Brie Gathright fell by a score of 21-18, 22-24, 15-5.

Other scores included Sloan Lovett/Madeline Cannon at No. 1 (21-14, 21-11), Lauren Aikels/Morgan Stanley at No. 2 (21-8, 21-11) and Kennedy Kurtz/Brigite Murdock at No. 5 (21-13, 21-12).
