GOLD RIVER, Calif. -- Sacramento State's varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four each placed third in their respective races on the second and final day of the Lake Natoma Rowing Invitational on Sunday morning at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center.

The two-day, eight-team regatta featured a powerhouse lineup that included three teams ranked among the nation's top 10 crews (#2 Cal, #7 Stanford and #8 Brown) and one receiving votes in the latest CRCA/USRowing Coaches top 20 poll (Notre Dame). Sacramento State, Gonzaga, Alabama and San Diego rounded out the field. The Hornets co-hosted the event with Cal.

All boats were placed into groups, and competed against different teams in each of the three rounds of racing.
