WANT TO ROW? WALK-ON MEETINGS SET FOR SEPT. 3-4
The Sacramento State women's rowing team is looking for walk-ons. For students interested in learning more, the Hornet coaching staff will be holding informational meetings for prospective walk-ons at the Athletics Center on Wednesday, Sept. 3, and Thursday, Sept. 4. Both meetings will take place at 7 p.m., and prospects only need to attend one of the meetings.
No prior rowing experience is necessary, all rowing expenses during the season are covered by the athletics department and outstanding athletes will have the opportunity to earn scholarships. Student-athletes must be full-time, undergraduate students and meet NCAA eligibility requirements.
The Athletics Center is located on the J Street side of campus, and can be found on the campus map by clicking here (this meeting is not at the Well).
Since the Sacramento State rowing program joined intercollegiate status in 1995, the team has a storied tradition of walk-ons contributing and excelling.
