FARMINGTON, Utah — Ethan Davidson was named the Big Sky Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, it was announced today. The honor is the first for Davidson in his career and the second for Sacramento State this season as Casey Leebrick earned the award following the initial tournament of the year.
Competing at the Nick Watney Invitational in Fresno, Calif., Davidson set career bests for both single-round and 54-hole scores. He totaled 73-71-67-211 to place 24th overall and beat his previous three-round total by five strokes. Davidson's tournament was capped with a 4-under par round of 67 which included seven birdies. That score was two strokes better than his previous low of 69 from last season.
Sacramento State will next compete at the Bill Cullum Invitational on Oct. 14-15 in Simi Valley, Calif.
