LAREDO, Texas — Wonje Choi posted his second consecutive round of 71 and Robert Parden added an even-par round of 72 to guide the Sacramento State men's golf team in the final round of the rain-shortened Border Olympics on Saturday at the Laredo Country Club.

Sacramento State finished tied for 10th place after shooting 282-297-579. Campbell rallied to win the team title with the help of an 11-under par total of 277 in the third round. The Camels finished at 282-277-559 and were five shots better than second-place Houston. UTSA (565), Bowling Green (571) were third and fourth, respectively, while Little Rock and McNeese State both totaled 573 to tie for fifth.

Choi led the Hornets for the second tournament this week. The junior tied for 14th place with a pair of 71s to match his low at Sacramento State. The reigning Big Sky Golfer of the Week started the final round on the second hole with a par and was 2-under after birdies on the par-4 third and par-3 fifth. He bogeyed the par-4 sixth before running off 11 pars in a row. His round ended with a bogey on the par-4 18th and a birdie on the par-5 first.

Parden tied for 23rd place after rounds of 71-72-143. He got off to a quick start with birdies on the first hole and the par-4 third. A bogey on the par-4 fourth and a double bogey on the par-4 sixth moved him to 1-over where he made the turn. On the back nine, Parden birdied the par-4 10th hole but fell back with bogeys on par-3 12th and par-4 15th. He rallied at the end of the round with birdies on the par-4 16th and par-5 17th.

Zach Liberatore followed his team-leading round of 69 on Friday with a 77 on Saturday. The junior dug himself an early hole with a double bogey on No. 1 and three consecutive bogeys on Nos. 5-7. He settled down by playing his next six holes at 1-under par behind a birdie on the par-4 11th and five pars. However, back-to-back bogeys came on Nos. 14 and 15 to move him to 6-over where he stayed until a birdie on the 18th. Liberatore's total of 69-77-146 tied him for 46th place.

Connor Day also added a round of 77 towards the team total and tied for 57th at 71-77-148. Day was 5-over through his first 12 holes with five bogeys. He played the final six holes even with a birdie on the par-5 17th and a bogey on No. 18.

Devyn Fitchhorn completed the lineup by shooting 72-79-151 to tie for 78th place. Fitchhorn's final round had 11 pars and seven bogeys.

Nebraska's Mike Colgate was the medalist at 66-69-135. That total placed him one stroke ahead of Campbell's Jesper Svensson and Bowling Green's Max Rispler.

Sacramento State will have nearly a month off before competing at the Cowboy Classic in Phoenix on April 10-11.
