Saturday, Oct. 6, is Kids Day. All children 12 and under will receive free admission to the game. There will also be activities for kids throughout the game.

Event Parking

Event Parking is $10 per vehicle/$25 per RV
Parking is available in Lots 7, 8 and Parking Structure III.  Event parking attendants will collect CASH ONLY at both entry points:  College Town Drive at Callery Pear Way and State University Drive at White Poplar; Cottonwood Way is an EXIT ONLY.  Please refer to the map located on Page 3 of this document.  Parking Lots 7, 8 and Structure III open 4 hours prior to kick-off.

Campus Parking Permits
The current event "per-vehicle" fee will be charged for all event-parking permits. Campus weekly, monthly, semester, annual and Emeritus parking permits are honored in lieu of purchasing a separate event parking permit for cars only; this does not apply to RV’s.  Daily and other limited-term parking permits will not be honored in the designated event lot(s). Campus parking permits will not allow access to the Hornet Club VIP or Reserved areas surrounding the Alumni Center.

Display of Event Parking Permit
Vehicles that enter a designated event parking area are required to display a valid event parking permit on the left-hand side of the dash board.  Qualifying Hornet Club members must display their hang-tag.  Any vehicle without a valid event parking permit displayed will be cited.

Accessible Parking Information
Parking for disabled patrons is in Structure III.  Wheelchair access is through Gate 3.  Disabled services are available south of Gate 4, one (1) hour prior to game time. 

Where to park:
There will be two (2) entrances to the tailgating/parking lots on football game days:

The South Entrance: Westbound side of College Town Dr. at Callery Pear Way; parking lot attendants will direct you. If you are a Hornet Club member, please be sure to have your hang tag displayed so the attendant can direct you accordingly.  Opens 4 hours prior to kick-off.

The East Entrance:  State University Drive at White Poplar Way; parking lot attendants will direct you.  If you are a Hornet Club member, please be sure to have your hang tag displayed so the attendant can direct you accordingly.  Opens 4 hours prior to kick-off.

  • Hornet Club – Horseshoe lot surrounding the Alumni Center;
  • Hornet Club Tailgate Area – Lot 8, in front of Alumni Center
  • Home Team Fans and Parents – Lot 8, surrounding the Hornet Walk
  • Students – Lot 8, North
  • Visiting Team – Lot 7, South
  • Parking Structure III will be available for parking only; no tailgating is allowed in the parking structure

 - Exit Eastbound Hwy. 50 at Howe/Power Inn Road. Veer right, following the California State University, Sacramento sign to Hornet Drive. At the light, take a left on College Town Drive. Hornet Stadium is on the right hand side.

- Exit Westbound Hwy. 50 at Howe/Power Inn Road straight ahead to College Town Drive. Once on College Town Drive, follow same directions as above.

- Exit Westbound Business 80 at J Street. Make at left turn on to J Street, and follow for about four miles. Enter the front entrance at Sacramento State and take a right on State University Drive North. Hornet Stadium is located about a half-mile on the left.

Hornet Walk

The Sacramento State players and coaches will make their way through the parking lot towards the Broad Fieldhouse two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff (3:45 p.m.). Fans are encouraged to lineup and show their support. Hornet Walk will come through the middle of Lot 8 heading East to West.

Entry Gates

Gates 2, 3 and 4 will open one hour prior to kickoff (90 minutes for Causeway Classic). Hornet Stadium has a no re-entry policy.


Game-day tickets can be purchased at the Hornet Stadium ticket office beginning three (3) hours prior to kickoff. Children three-years old and above must have a ticket to enter Hornet Stadium on game days. Tickets can also be purchased Monday-Friday at the Hornet Ticket Office in the Athletics Center or via phone at (916) 278-2222. Will Call Tickets
Will Call tickets for the general public can be picked up starting two (2) hours prior to kickoff at the Hornet Stadium Ticket Office.  A picture ID is required for pick-up of Will Call tickets.

Player Pass Gates
The Hornet and visiting team pass gate is located at Gate #4a (southeast corner of the stadium). Player guest tickets can be picked up starting seventy-five minutes prior to kickoff.  A picture ID is required.

Student Tickets
Students have free admission into the game with a valid Sacramento State ONE Card. All students must enter through Gate 3 which will open one hour prior to kickoff. All ONE Cards will be swiped upon entry.

Student Guest Tickets
Students can buy up to two (2) student guest tickets for friends or family allowing them to sit with them in the student section.  Tickets are $10 each and students must present their valid One Card at the time of purchase.

Lost, Stolen or Misplaced Tickets
Tickets should be treated like cash. Sacramento State is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced tickets. Duplicates will not be issued for any tickets purchased on game day.

Sales of Alcohol Inside the Stadium

  1. A maximum of two alcoholic beverages can be purchased per each transaction by individuals who are 21 years or older whose age has been verified per ABC requirements and this procedure.  Sales may commence one hour prior to the start of the athletics event and will end after the midpoint of the athletic event (e.g. start of the third quarter for football).
  2. Attendees are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages into the facility (or designated grounds) and are not permitted to leave the facility with alcohol.
  3. The sale and service of alcohol to persons who are thought to be intoxicated is prohibited.
  4. It is within the University’s discretion to deny the sale and/or service of alcohol to persons believed to be providing alcohol to other individuals who have not been verified as being over 21 years of age or who otherwise refuse to comply with any request made by university personnel with regards to the handling of such alcohol.

Stadium Policies

In order to accommodate the desires of fans at Hornet Stadium while recognizing the need to maintain the safety and comfort of all guests, Sacramento State has formulated the following policies regarding items that can be brought into Hornet Stadium. All items are subject to search by stadium personnel. Fans who violate these policies may be asked to leave the stadium.

  • One 20 oz. sealed clear plastic non-flavored water bottle will be permitted in the stadium. Only one bottle will be permitted per ticketed fan.
  • No metal, aluminum or glass containers for food or beverages will be permitted. Thermos containers or those similar in style will not be permitted.
  • Sealed, single-serving juice boxes and baby formula/baby food are permitted.
  • No backpacks, large bags or coolers will be permitted in the stadium.
  • No umbrellas
  • Stadium cushions and blankets may be brought into the stadium as long as they do not exceed the maximum size of 16”t X 16”w X 9”d
  • Under NCAA and Sacramento State policies, there is no photography or videography of the game allowed with the exception of accredited media personnel and team officials. Sacramento State Athletics reserves the right to limit or confiscate the usage of professional cameras in the stands.

Artificial Noisemakers
Spectators shall not be allowed to have musical instruments or amplified artificial noisemakers (e.g. vuvuzelas, duck calls) in the game facility.

Disabled Seating & Services
Fans requiring special assistance are urged to make ticketing arrangements with the Hornet Ticket Office well in advance of home football games. All seating for wheelchair patrons is located on the North end zone of Hornet Stadium inside the field. Two companion seats are available for each disabled seat.

Accessible restroom facilities are located around Hornet Stadium.

Parking for disabled patrons is available in Parking Structure III and within close proximity to the golf carts for transportation to the west grand stand of Hornet Stadium.

If disabled patrons need any assistance during the game, please contact a Hornet Event Staff member or any member of the Intercollegiate Athletics staff.

Fan Services & Security
During home contests, Hornet Stadium features a combination of Hornet Ambassadors, Sacramento State Police and event management staff present to ensure that all fans have an enjoyable and safe experience at Hornet football games. The Hornet Ambassadors is a group of friendly, committed volunteers who are more than willing to help you find your seat or anything else you may need.

First Aid & Medical Assistance
An emergency response unit is available at Hornet Stadium during all home football games. The emergency response unit is located on the adjacent to the track between the Broad Field House and the West Grand Stands. If you need assistance, please contact a Hornet Ambassador, police officer or any member of the events or Intercollegiate Athletics staff and ask them to contact security to dispatch an EMT to the area where they are needed.

Game Programs & Merchandise
Game programs featuring game-day rosters and depth charts are available for sale at program stands inside the stadium. Programs cost $3 each.

The Hornet Bookstore is the official merchandiser of Hornet Athletics and will have a location set up inside the gates at Hornet Stadium.

Lost and Found
Lost & Found is located in the North End Zone at the Information Booth.  Fans who have lost items should report them to the event staff who will log the item. Items lost under the bleachers will ONLY be retrieved during half time and at the conclusion of the game.  If your item is located, you will be notified. Unclaimed items will be available at the Campus Police Department window in the University Union, until the Wednesday following the game.  After that time, all unclaimed items will be disposed of.  If you have questions about lost items, please call (916) 278-6851.

Portable restroom facilities are available for fans both inside and outside Hornet Stadium. Restroom facilities for disabled patrons are located under the West grand stand.

Sacramento State is a 100% Tobacco Free Campus. Smoking, chewing, vape pens and all other forms of tobacco are all strictly prohibited at Sacramento State.

Fan Behavior

In order to promote good sportsmanship and a positive and safe environment at Hornet Stadium, Sacramento State has put a set of "zero tolerance" rules for inappropriate fan behavior during Hornet football games. Fans who behave inappropriately will face arrest or be directed to leave the campus as well as face confiscation of their event tickets. Officers from the Sacramento State police department, as well as additional security personnel, will be available at the stadium to help keep fans safe and enhance the fan experience.

Fans who appear visibly intoxicated will have their tickets confiscated, be denied access to Hornet Stadium and ejected from campus. Alcohol will not be allowed into the stadium or to be consumed while standing in line to enter the stadium.  Fans who attempt to smuggle alcohol into the stadium or bring kegs to their tailgates will have the alcohol and tickets confiscated and will be denied entry to the stadium.

Entry onto and use of these premises for “Tailgating” activities is subject to the University’s Policies and Procedures and is at risk of the individual. Individuals in the “Tailgating” area assume the associated risks and agree to hold the University harmless for illness, injury, death, property damage, and or other consequences resulting from entry or participation in “Tailgating” activities on these premises.

Everyone is subject to laws governing minors in possession, open intoxicants, consumption on a public highway, open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and various other laws. Failure to comply with tailgating policies will result in citation, arrest, or withdrawal of consent to remain on campus.
