FOOTBALL RETURNS TO SIXTH IN BOTH THE FCS COACHES AND MEDIA POLLS

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State football team is ranked sixth in both the STATS FCS media poll and the AFCA FCS coaches poll. This week marks the fifth consecutive week that the team has been voted into the top 25 and the fourth straight in the top 10.

Sacramento State improved to 7-3 overall and 5-1 in the Big Sky Conference following a thrilling 38-34 win at Northern Arizona. The Hornets trailed by 10 with less than two minutes to play and owning no timeouts before scoring a pair of touchdowns to win the game.

Among the four Big Sky teams currently ranked, Sacramento State is third behind No. 3 Weber State and No. 5 Montana and ahead of No. 10 Montana State. UC Davis and Eastern Washington are also receiving votes.

The Hornets will play at Idaho on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. PT.
