1. Bring the Noise
Saturday's game will also serve as Band Day. Several local high school marching bands will team up with the Sacramento State Marching Band for performances throughout the game.
2. Honorary Captains
This week's Sacramento State will recognize a pair of honorary captains in Gary and Judy Quattrin. Gary played football and baseball for the Hornets and later served as an assistant coach. He went on to earn his law degree and helped found Quattrin, Johnson, Campora & England. Judy was the captain of the cheer team during her time at Sacramento State. She returned to campus as a teacher for over 30 years. Together, the couple created several scholarships, including an endowment to support student-athletes and fifth-year seniors who suffered career-ending injuries.
Each week the honorary captain speaks to the team on Friday night, joins the captains on the field for the coin toss and is a part of the Hornet game day activities.
3. Tailgate Treats
Thanks to our friends at Raley's, fans will be able to purchase supplies at the Raley's Tailgate Zone in Lot 8. Some of the items available for purchase will be disposable grills, hot dogs, snack boxes and bottled water.
4. Non-Conference Conference Matchup
Saturday's game will not count towards the Big Sky standings despite the fact that both teams are members of the league. When the Big Sky Conference expanded in 2012 with the addition of North Dakota, Southern Utah, UC Davis and Cal Poly it created an unbalanced schedule in the conference. In an attempt to fill remaining non-conference games, teams began scheduling Big Sky schools for games that did not count towards the conference standings. This game will mark the eighth consecutive season the Hornets have faced a fellow Big Sky school in a non-league game.
5. If You Can't Be There...

Live audio streaming is also available via www.hornetsports.com. CW31 will televise the game in the Sacramento region and the game can be viewed live on Pluto.TV. Dave Lewis will handle the play-by-play and will be joined by former Hornet quarterback and Arena Football League record-holder Aaron Garcia (color).
