DeAndre Carter (WR, Houston Texans)
Carter did not play in Houston's final preseason game, a 22-10 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. His performance during training camp earned him a spot on the team's regular season roster.
Houston starts the 2019 year at New Orleans on Monday night at 4:10 PT.
Darnell Sankey (LB, New Orleans Saints)
Sankey once again led New Orleans in tackles as he had eight in a 16-13 home loss to the Dolphins. The linebacker had eight total tackles, including five solos. He finished the preseason with 20 total tackles but was released as part of the Saints' final cuts.
Todd Davis (LB, Denver Broncos)
Davis continued to sit after injuring his calf on July 17. The veteran linebacker is said to have a chance of playing in Denver's season opener against Oakland on Monday night.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson (QB, Toronto Argonauts)
Bethel-Thompson continued to shine but the Argonauts dropped another game, falling to Hamilton 37-28 to fall to 1-9 on the year. Bethel-Thompson completed 22-of-42 passes for 337 yards and pair of touchdowns with an interception. He added 13 rushing yards.
Toronto plays at Ottowa on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. PT.
Brandon Smith (DB, Calgary Stampeders)
Smith ranked second on the team with five total tackles in Calgary's 25-9 win at home against Edmonton. The Stampeders improved to 6-4 on the year and are third in the West.
Calgary next plays at Edmonton on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 4 p.m. PT.
