SPOKANE, Wash. — Sacramento State will be represented by head coach Jody Sears, linebacker Immanuel Anderson and wide receiver Jaelin Ratliff on Sunday and Monday at the Big Sky Conference's annual Football Kickoff media event at the DoubleTree Spokane City Center.

The Big Sky will be streaming interviews with each team's head coach and players on PlutoTV Channel 231 and WatchBigSky.com on Monday. Sears will appear at 9:30 a.m. while Anderson and Ratliff will go on at 12:09 p.m.

Along with the interview opportunities, each school's student-athletes will take part in photo and promotion video shoots with ROOT Sports and the conference office. Student-athletes will also visit a local children's hospital on Monday.

The Big Sky Conference will unveil its preseason coaches and media polls as well as the preseason all-conference team on Monday morning. Sacramento State has garnered some national attention this summer as the team was ranked 19th in Street & Smith's preview and 23rd in Athlon Sports.

The Hornets will begin their 2018 season at home against St. Francis (Ill.) on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. The team open Big Sky play on Sept. 22 at Montana on ROOT Sports. The conference will have a new look this season as Idaho returns to the Big Sky for football for the first time since 1995. North Dakota will transition out of the league in 2018. The Fighting Hawks will continue to play at Big Sky schedule but their results will not be reflected in the standings while their opponents' will.
