    The first of two consecutive home games for the Sacramento State football team will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20, when the Hornets welcome North Dakota for their annual Homecoming game. The game will kick off at 6:05 p.m. from Hornet Stadium. The game will also feature a fireworks display as well as other campus wide activities including the golf cart parade at halftime.

    The Sacramento State football team will find itself in a familiar position this week as the Hornets return to life on the road. The team travels to Cedar City, Utah to face Southern Utah on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 5 p.m. PT. The game marks the fourth time in six weeks that Sacramento State has played away from home. The team is 1-2 in the previous three games.

In all, it will be 35 days between which is the longest stretch between home games for Sacramento State since 1994 (Oct. 1-Nov. 12).

    Sacramento State punter Owen Hoolihan was named the STATS FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week as well as the Big Sky Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the team’s 28-25 win at Northern Colorado. The honor is the first for Hoolihan in his Hornet career.
