2013 Season: Earned second team all-Big Sky honors…was named the team MVP…set Sacramento State single season records with 294 completions, 460 attempts, 3,289 yards and 27 passing touchdowns…ranked second in the Hornet record book with a .639 completion percentage…also rushed for 492 yard and seven touchdowns on 142 attempts…finished the year with 3,781 yards of total offense which also set the school record…completed 34-of-52 passes for a Big Sky record seven touchdown passes against Southern Oregon…set the Sacramento State single game mark with 554 passing yards at Portland State…had 41 completions against Montana to set the single game school record…had four 300-yard passing games comprised of 554 at Portland State, 412 against Montana, 360 vs. Southern Oregon and 312 against Northern Colorado…rushed for a career high 110 yards against Northern Arizona…rushed for two touchdowns against North Dakota, Montana and Portland State…was the Big Sky ROOT Sports Offensive Player of the Week three times and the FCS National Player of the Week following his performance at Portland State.

2012 Season:
Named honorable mention all-Big Sky and the team's offensive MVP...started each game for the Hornets and finished the season with 2,450 passing yards and 377 rushing yards...set the Sacramento State single-season record with 246 completions and a 61.4 completion percentage...moved into second place in program history with 22 TD passes and 383 attempts and ranked third in yardage...was named the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week after wins against Colorado and Cal Poly...at Colorado, he was 25-of-37 for 312 yards and two touchdowns...was 31-of-38 for 250 yards and four scores against Cal Poly...also threw for 324 yards against UC Davis and 308 at New Mexico State...set the school single-game record with 37 completions and 67 attempts at UC Davis...threw at least one touchdown in every game and had multiple TDs in eight of the 11 games...rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns at Southern Utah, including a 69-yard touchdown run.

2011 Season:
Played in five games at quarterback during his first season…after senior starter Jeff Fleming was injured, Safron shared the duties with Tommy Edwards and eventually won the job…completed 24-of-57 pass attempts for 394 yards and three touchdowns without an interception…also rushed for 286 yards and three touchdowns on 53 attempts…rushed for 100 yards and a TD against Eastern Washington in his first collegiate game…tallied 94 rushing yards against UC Davis where he also threw for a career high 155 yards.

2010 Season:
Sat out the season as a redshirt.

High School:
Graduated from Santa Monica HS in 2010…earned first team all-Ocean League honors as a quarterback as a senior…threw for 2,065 yards and 17 touchdowns while completing 57.0 percent of his passes…had just one interception in his final nine games compared to 14 touchdowns…threw for three TDs against Venice, Morningside and Palmdale…highest yardage output was 274 against Beverly Hills…also rushed for 298 yards and four TDs.…played in the Daily News All-Star Game following his senior season…as a junior, he passed for 897 yards and 11 touchdowns.
