The Hornets won both Friday games in shutout fashion, defeating the Tigers, 5-0 and 1-0. Saturday was a very different story as Sacramento State piled on the runs en route to 13-4 and 12-2 wins.
Hornets pitchers allowed just five earned runs of 36.0 innings of work, good for a 1.25 ERA. The offense, meanwhile, set new season highs for runs, RBIs, and walks as they put up 31 total runs in the series.
