SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Sacramento State baseball team will close its fall practice season with its annual intrasquad Hornet World Series starting Friday. The best-of-seven series of six-inning games will cap fall ball as the Hornets begin preparation for the 2014 season.
"Our fall has gone well," Sacramento State head coach Reggie Christiansen said. "The next two weeks will be fun to watch as our guys get after each other a bit in our Hornet World Series."
A highlight of the World Series will come at 12 p.m. next Thursday, Oct. 31, in a Halloween celebration. Each student that comes dressed in costume and brings a canned food item will receive a Sacramento State Baseball game hat.
