Jared Nessland was hired as Sacramento State's head strength and conditioning coach prior to the 2011-12 year. He came to Sacramento State after serving as the head strength and conditioning coach at Southern Illinois from 2008-11. Nessland, a 1999 graduate of Montana State, also served as the head strength and conditioning coach at Montana (2006-07) and North Dakota (2002-06). In addition, he was an assistant at Nebraska (2002) and North Dakota (2001-02). He began his career as a student intern at Montana State 1998. A native of Havre, Mont., Nessland was a three-year letterwinner and academic all-conference selection for the track and field team at Montana State where he competed in the shotput, hammer and weight throw. He was also a competitive weight lifter, earning fifth place at the 1999 Collegiate National Championships in the 105 kg class.

Tom DiStasio is his fifth season at Sacramento State after working as a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois (2010-11) and a student intern at Cornell (2009-10). He graduated from Cornell in 2010, where he played football for the Big Red (2006-09). DiStasio participates in Olympic Style weight lifting, and is the son of Marty and Ernestine, with one brother, Marcello. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in exercise science.

Jeff Law is in his second season at Sacramento State after working at Ole Miss where he interned with the football strength and conditioning staff in 2013. Prior to that, he served as an intern with the Olympic strength and conditioning department at Texas Tech while also earning his master's degree in strength and conditioning. In addition, Law earned his bachelor's degree from Northern Iowa where he assisted the Panthers' strength and conditioning staff. While at UNI, he trained in Olympic weightlifting under former Chinese Olympian Jianping Ma and traveled to Beijing to train with the Chinese National Team.
