SACRAMENTO STATE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH NELLIGAN SPORTS MARKETING
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State and Nelligan Sports Marketing (NSM) have announced an agreement granting NSM the exclusive rights to manage the University’s athletic sponsorship and marketing program. This partnership is NSM’s fourth in the California State University educational system and fifth in the state.
“We are very confident our partnership with NSM will be beneficial for both parties” Sacramento State Director of Athletics Terry Wanless said. “They’ll be instrumental in increasing the awareness of Hornet athletics throughout the corporate community in Sacramento and across the state. In this tough economic climate, there is a premium on public-private partnerships and this agreement will help Sacramento State compete at the highest level possible.”

Sacramento State sponsors 20 NCAA Div. I sports teams and has won 48 conference championships in the last 10 years. During their history, the Hornets have won four national titles and have eight runner-up finishes. In 2010-11, Sacramento State had the highest finish among Big Sky institutions in the Directors’ Cup and won its first Big Sky all-sports championship in school history.
Sacramento State, the city’s only four-year comprehensive university, features a student body of more than 28,000.
