SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State athletics department announced today that Amador Stage Lines will serve as the official transportation provider for the Hornets for the next three years.

"We are thrilled to have a local company like Amador Stage Lines partner with us," Sacramento State Director of Athletics Terry Wanless said. "They are a local company with ties throughout the community that provides a high level of service."

"With my entire family Sacramento State graduates it is rewarding that  we are able to support Sacramento State athletics'" Amador president and Sacramento State alum William Allen said. "We look forward to  working with the athletic program to provide safe, reliable and  efficient service for their programs."

Amador Stage Lines was established in 1852 as a stagecoach line carrying passengers from the paddle wheelers in Sacramento to the communities in the “Gold Country” of the Northern California foothills. From those early beginnings Amador Stage Lines has grown to be one of the largest and most stable operators in Northern California and has expanded its operations into Northern Nevada, including the Lake Tahoe region.

Amador Stage Lines has recently added its Sactown Hopper program which provides transportation from the University area to midtown/downtown on Friday and Saturday nights. The program has received praise from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) as well as other student organizations.
