WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sacramento State Director of Athletics Mark Orr was named to the Division I Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Executive Committee for the 2018-19 academic year. Orr will serve as the representative of the Big Sky Conference.
Now in its 24th year, the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association's mission is to enhance Football Championship Subdivision football. For more information on the FCS ADA, please visit www.fcsada.com. The FCS ADA is administered by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), which is in its 53rd year.
Some of the responsibilities of the committee include voting for the FCS ADA Academic All-Star team as well as providing a collective voice for FCS athletics directors.
The 2018-19 FCS ADA Executive Committee will be led by Bill Smith (Bryant) who will serve as president. The remainder of the cabinet will be comprised of 1st Vice President Nathan Pine (Holy Cross), 2nd Vice President Ken Haslam (Montana) and 3rd Vice President Ashley Robinson (Jackson State). Along with Orr, the conference representatives are Bob Roller, Campbell (Big South); Tim Leonard, Towson (Colonial); Peter Pilling, Columbia (Ivy); Ed Scott, Morgan State (Mid-Eastern); David Herbster, South Dakota (Missouri Valley); Walt Hameline, Wagner (Northeast); Tom Michael, Eastern Illinois (Ohio Valley); Nicki Moore, Colgate (Patriot); Jeff Altier, Stetson (Pioneer); Randy Eaton, Western Carolina (Southern); and Matt Roan, Nicholls State (Southland).
