RECAPPING THE ACADEMIC SUCCESS OF HORNET STUDENT-ATHLETES IN 2017-18

Sacramento State athletics teams and student-athletes put forth a record-breaking academic performance during the 2017-18 academic year. Below is a brief recap on many of the academic awards and accolades Sacramento State has recently achieved.

• During the spring, Hornet student-athletes achieved better than a 3.0 GPA for the 8th straight semester
• All 21 intercollegiate teams currently have better than a 2.837 overall GPA; 18 have better than a 3.0 GPA
• 56.4 percent of all spring 2018 student-athletes were above a 3.000 term GPA
• 97 percent of spring 2018 student-athletes achieved "Good Standing" for their academic scholastic standard

• Sacramento State student-athletes combined to take home 175 conference all-academic awards during the 2017-18 academic year
• That included 87 all-academic selections in the spring, 43 during the winter, and 45 in the fall.

• Sacramento State athletics programs earned high Academic Progress Rates (APR) from the NCAA for the 10th straight year. Click here for the story.
